Image analysis
How would you describe this photograph to a person who could not see it?
The vocal point of this photograph is a black and white tilted sign right in the centre of this image, the top of the sign is facing backwards. The bottom of the sign is a thin line holding the sign upright. Just above the sign there is a single cloud shaped just like a scoop of ice cream.
Towards the right hand side of the photograph there is a long road, in the distance there is a car on the left hand side of the road.
On the left hand side of the image there is a square piece of land directly next to a wooden house. On the land there is a run down caravan, just behind this caravan there is a large pine tree, much bigger than the caravan.

What is in or out of focus? How has the subject been framed/cropped?
Everything in this image is very clear and sharp and very minor things are out of focus and nothing has been cropped.
Which part of the photograph strikes you as the most interesting? Why?
The thing that strikes me the most in this photograph is the different shapes the artist has used and how he has made such simple shapes so unique.
What questions would you ask the artist about his work, if they were here?
- what was your inspiration for taking this photograph, if you had any?
- What made you choose this location?
- What did you find interesting about this photograph?
- What sort of mood were you trying to create when taking this photograph?
- What first came to mind when you saw this setting?
What do you think it would be like to live in this photograph? what makes you think that?
I think living in this photograph would feel sort of lonely and I think it would be a very quiet area no matter where you are in the neighbourhood. I think this because the photograph has a melancholy sort of feeling to the image.
Why do you suppose the artist made this photograph? What makes you think that?
I think that the reason the artist made this photograph is because it was something that was different to what they usually photograph. Another reason that I think the artist made this photograph was because it was something that looked very ordinary but he saw potential in making it look unique and different.
What do you think is effective about this photograph? What doesn't work so well?
What I think is most effective about this photograph is how the artist has used the space so effectively. Another thing that I think is most effective about this image is how the photograph has such a strong vocal point.
